Introduction

Maintenance and repairing of marine structures all over the world, aims to increasing operation life span and decreasing costs. In this regard, PMO of Bushehr Province, defined the project of rehabilitation of berths No. 4, 5, and 6 of Bushehr port with the approach of maintenance and repairing of existing structures. The main purpose of this project is rehabilitation of berth main parts (with 500 meters length), enhancing operation quality, increasing vessel berthing tonnage, and improving safty factor. The most important items of this project are:

• Repairing 385 concrete piles and under deck slab with 250 cube meters of self-compacted concrete
• Repairing deck apron and face with 1200 cube meters of concrete
• Replacing fender systems (24 fenders)
• Construction and installation of prefabricated car stoppers with 955 meters length
• Construction of protection cover of 370 steel piles with sea shield
