Introduction

The project encompasses basic studies, site layout design, rail track plan design, mechanized warehouse design, and advanced systems for unloading and transferring mineral materials between rail wagons, mechanized warehouses, and trucks within the multipurpose rail terminal at Shahid Beheshti Port, Chabahar. Engineering Services Provided:

• Site Layout Design and Component Arrangement:

Planning the layout and arrangement of terminal components within the allocated land area

• Rail Track Plan Design:

Designing the rail track plan and its connection to the port's railway network.

• Railcar Unloading System Design:

Developing systems for unloading rail wagons and transferring materials to conveyor belts and trucks.

• Mechanized Warehouse Design:

Designing a mechanized warehouse for storing mineral materials.

• Truck Loading System Design:

Designing systems for loading trucks. Due to the limited land allocated for the terminal, the design faced multiple challenges regarding railcar unloading. The design team implemented innovative solutions to enable the unloading of various types of rail wagons, including high-sided and bottom-discharge wagons, and the mechanized transfer of cargo to the warehouse. Moreover, considering the high costs of conveyor-based transfer systems and at the client’s request, an alternative design was developed for direct transshipment of materials from rail wagons to trucks and subsequently unloading trucks into the warehouse. This approach not only reduced costs but also provided greater operational flexibility for the terminal.
