Introduction

The surface water collection/Management plan of the mechanized bulk mineral terminal in Shahid Rajaee Port is considered as one of the special projects. In this project, the surface water collection network lines should be designed considering the operational conditions of the mineral depot as well as the conditions of the storage rails (stock piles) and mineral transportation. In addition, the deposited minerals may have special quality conditions so that the direct entry of the relevant runoffs will lead to a local change in the quality of the seawater within the area of ​​this site. Therefore, to prevent the runoffs from directly entering the sea, a flood storage pond has also been designed at this site. Thus, the flood of the administrative area is discharged into the sea, but the flood associated with the mineral depot site is diverted to a large pond. The stored water either gradually evaporates or gradually infiltrates after sedimentation. Various channels, pipes, manholes, outlets and ponds have been used in this design.
