Introduction

In response to the needs of the General Directorate of Technical Affairs and Project Evaluation of the Ministry of Petroleum regarding the development of technical and engineering safety standards for protecting oil industry infrastructure against flood risks in oilfields in the West Karun region. The methodology for delivering these services was structured into the following three distinct components:

1. Technical and engineering standards for the protection and safety of oil industry facilities against permanent water exposure and high moisture levels in the Hoor-al-Azim wetland. B. Technical and engineering standards for flood control studies, design, and implementation. C. Technical and engineering standards for geotechnical studies, testing, designing, and implementation in flood-prone areas.
