Introduction

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources of the Sultanate of Oman, with the objective of organizing fisheries activities and supporting fishermen, has undertaken the development of Lakbi Port (located in Al Wusta Governorate, Al Jazir Wilayat) and the improvement of fish landing centers in Hadbin (located in Dhofar Governorate, Sadah Wilayat), Haramil (located in Muscat Governorate, Muscat Wilayat), and Sarab (located in Al Wusta Governorate, Mahout Wilayat). The process of selecting a consultant for engineering control and construction supervision, as well as a contractor for design and build works, was carried out during the late months of 2023 and early 2024. The joint participation of Al Abraj Engineering & Architectural Consultancy and Sazeh Pardazi Iran Consulting Engineers successfully secured the contract for construction supervision of this development program
