Introduction

For Bank protection and preventing erosion and dredging of deposited sediments this project is defined in form of several engineering studies, detail design, and supervision services contracts, for different reaches of Karoon river in Ahvaz and Khorramshahr. The project has increased the flow velocity and decreased sediment deposition, and provided recreation areas along river side. In some reaches dredging has resulted to better water way transportation, river beautification and tourism attraction.
