Introduction

Bed and fringe delineation of Bamdej wetland with 40000 Ha area has been performed for the first time in the country by SPI. An innovative approach has been considered using few international experiences and national laws for this study. Specific criterion is determined to define different wetlands. Due to limitations of 2D hydraulic models, an innovative approach of combined quality and quantity 1D and 2D modeling approach is used. In addition the national standard of “list of Services for Bed and Fringe Delineation of Wetlands and Lakes” and a book with the title of “Principles of Wetland’s Identification, Modeling, and Delineation”  are published by SPI.
